The 4th of July Celebration in Bridgewater will be as follows:
All Events will take place on Sunday July 4th, 2021. The parade will start at 10:00 AM. The parade will begin at 95 Grove Street, Harrington Hall Bridgewater State University. They will proceed on Grove Street right onto Summer Street {Easterly}. The Parade will turn right off Summer onto Dean Street {Southerly}. The parade will turn right off Dean Street onto Worcester where they will turn right heading {Westerly} toward Bedford Street Rt. 18 and 28. The parade will then turn right off Worcester heading {Northerly} on Bedford Street into Bridgewater Central Square. The parade will leave Central Square turning right in front of the Lucky Star Gas Station and then turning right onto Summer Street {Southerly}. The Bridgewater Fire Department Trucks will break and secure at the Intersection of Summer and Plymouth Street to prevent the parade from touching. The parade will continue Summer Street {Easterly}, turning right back on to Grove Street and left back into the Bridgewater State University parking lot at Harrington Hall and end where they started.
During the parade, many of the roads will be detoured in the downtown and Bridgewater State University area and alternate traffic routes will be put into place. Please plan your travel wisely. There will be an Arts and Music Festival immediately following the end of the parade. The festival will take place at Bridgewater State University at the Boyden Hall quad. The festival will run until 3:00 PM.
Fireworks and a Family Carnival will take place at Legion Field 175 Bedford Street [Rt. 18 and 28] Bridgewater Ma. 02324. The Carnival will start at 5:00 PM and will run until 9:15 PM. The Fireworks display will begin at approximately 9:30 PM.
