Health Department files have been moved to an offsite location. Copies of plans can be requested by calling the Board of Health office at 508-697-0903. Files will be retrieved on Tuesday and Thursday each week. Thank you for your cooperation.
The Board of Health will take all sharps for residents of the Town of Bridgewater. Please bring the sharps to the Board of Health office in a red sharps container or a liquid laundry detergent bottle with a screw on cap.
The Town of Bridgewater does not provide curbside pickup for trash removal. Click Here for a list of authorized rubbish haulers.
Septic Systems & Title 5
The Health Department assesses a $20 fee for all Conditional Pass and Failed Title Inspection Reports. There is no fee for a Title 5 Report that passes inspection.
Any Immediate requests for septic certificate of compliance issuance within (24-48 hours) a $40.00 fee will be charged.
Applications, Forms & Permits
As of September 2020 all permit requests and applications can be applied for on our new website.
All one-day food permit applications must be received one week in advance no exceptions. This includes all applications for July 4th, Autumnfest, Christmas on the Common, Black Hat Brewery and any events at Bridgewater State University.
Copies of Servsafe or Allergen Awareness Certification must be included with all applications as well as the application fee of $25 payable to the Town of Bridgewater.
