Clerk/Dispatcher (Highway Department)
The Clerk/Dispatcher position is a part-time position for 15.0 hrs per week; however, during weather or other related emergency must be available for additional hours.
Under general supervision, clerk/dispatcher perform typical department clerical functions duties and assist with organization of highway operations and emergency response through prompt, courteous, and efficient call processing and dispatching. Employees transmit, receive, and relay information to and from an array of local, state and federal government entities. The position includes daily contact with the public and government agencies.
Associates degree preferred; two (2) years of experience in municipal DPW or similar operation;
- Applicant must be able to type at a minimum speed of 50 WPM with minimal errors.
This position is a part-time, non-benefited position. The current salary range is:
HIRE: $ 20.23 1ST YEAR: $ 22.40 MAX: $ 24.57 p/hr
